Taste of Cayman becomes a food....and WINE festival for the first time!

The great culinary festivals around the world are, more often than not, dedicated to the experience of both food and wine and Grand Cayman's own event is about to be included in that prestigious club. This year, in association with sponsors Blackbeard's Trading Co. Ltd and Cayman Distributors Ltd, Taste of Cayman will become a full-fledged food and wine event. Guests will be able to taste a wide variety of wines from around the world in a variety of settings. This year's event is looking forward to hosting over 20 different vineyards featuring hundreds of exciting wines, with all proceeds benefitting the Cayman Islands Tourism Association charities. The main wine tasting area will be in Camana Bay's Gardenia Court where tasting tables will line the perimeter of this spectacular setting. At the food tasting experience, along the Market Street, expect to see some of Cayman's greatest chefs now offering a perfectly paired wine to accompany their culinary creations. Taste of Cayman has also added our "First Annual Charity Wine Dinner." This will be held on Thursday October 30th and promises to be one of the highlights of the year's social calendar. Looking forward to the future, Taste of Cayman Food and Wine Festival will grow and develop the wine elements of the event, adding more vineyards, more winemakers, new additional educational events and more tastings, parties and dinners. Taste of Cayman at Camana Bay is truly poised to become the Caribbean's top food and wine event.

Wines will be sold at all tasting tables in both a tasting size of 1 oz and a glass size of 5oz. Each purchase will require Taste of Cayman drink tickets, which will be sold at the main gate and throughout the event. For convenience, there will be specially pre-packed envelopes with $50 of tickets, including two complimentary Taste of Cayman plastic wine tasting glasses. These glasses will be available for sale throughout the event as well for $5.00 and all guests are encouraged to buy one, as there will be no other wine glasses used.
